On March 29, 2007, the extraordinary Tuskegee Airmen and women received the United States Congress Congressional Gold Medal from President George W. Bush for their bravery during WWII. Now we are encouraging our fellow Philadelphians and Pennsylvanians to join the inaugural March 29, 2023 celebration of Tuskegee Airmen Commemorative Day in Pennsylvania. During this event we be honoring the legacy of both men and women reflective of diverse races and ethnic backgrounds who participated in the Tuskegee Experience. This day is the result of unanimous approval by both the PA House of Representatives and the Senate with legislation signed on November 15, 2022 by Tom Wolfe, Governor Emeritus. The commemoration of these events officially designates March 29th as Tuskegee Airmen Commemorative Day in Pennsylvania for which the Greater Philadelphia Chapter Tuskegee Airmen, Inc and our National Tuskegee Airmen organization are honored.
